Raise a glass to the wonderful folk promoting vegan and ethical business and mainstreaming justice and compassion.
WE all know how frustrating it can be when you would really rather want to do business with someone that shares your ethical beliefs or is just ‘on your wave-length’. Here at Cornwall Vegans we share the thought that we can have an even more positive impact by supporting those businesses and services that do just that!
Hayley Arlidge – Hair Today Organic Hair Salon, Falmouth
An independent, eco-friendly hair salon. Men and women (and kids too!) Bed and Breakfast
Alex Taylor – Bleujennow Vegan B&B, Penzance
Stepping lightly on the earth is important to us, so as well as avoiding harm to animals by being vegan, we take the environment seriously, and most waste goes into our compost bins, up to Bleujennow Crafts to be upcycled, or recycled. We have solar panels on the roof, high energy performance ratings on all our machines, and reduce water use as much as possible. You are on holiday, so your comfort is our first priority, but we hope you will also be aware of reducing waste and energy!
We also want to encourage you to come by public transport, so we provide free pick-up and drop-off to and from the train and bus stations. To help you travel light, we have available lots of things to borrow. Cot, highchairs, changing mat, baby bath, books, toys for babies and toddlers; beach towels, beach chairs, body boards, wet suits, buckets and spades for the beach; wellies and backpack for walks. In the house, we have slippers and bathrobes provided.

Lifestyle and bloggers
Driftwood Vegans Our very own favourite blog site, seasonal and varied blog posts from the talented Scooby! Worn by tide and time but still hanging about on the beach….. In a small Cornish village by the sea, two vegans discuss life, light, music, surf and what they are going to have for dinner.
TBT 90 Total Body Transformation “For years I’ve watched women (and a lot of men) make themselves miserable doing something that’s supposed to make them happier – and healthier.
If you’re not happy with your body right now, you’ve probably heard that the path to better health starts with losing weight. What you may not have heard though, is that if you want to lose weight and keep it off, you’ve got to start by being healthier.” Personal trainer
The Hectic Vegan “I started The Hectic Vegan as a means to show people that being a vegan can be easy, especially when you have a hectic life, and little time to eat, let alone spend hours in the kitchen making all your food from scratch using all fresh ingredients every night.
So subscribe, then sit back and read the stories, check out the pics, and try out the recipes I share with you, to help make your vegan life that little bit easier!”
Bertie Justice – activist, blogger and photographer, and speaks regular at VegFest and local festivals in the south West too!
The website will take you to the blog, see the videos on the Festival page!

Child daycare activities
A very warm welcome to Aunt Bethy’s Childminding. I pride myself on being a small, home from home style setting working primarily on my own but regularly meeting with other childminders in the area, providing the children the advantage of mixing with a wide range of peers of all ages. My carer in childcare started in September 2011 when I started working for my sister as Nanny to her 6 month old twins. In 2013 I registered with Ofsted as a childminder. I have a real passion for what I do and each and every child is at the centre of my work. I work very closely with parents and effective partnerships are soon established. I love being outdoors and I know the importance and benefits that being outside has for children of all ages. Physical activity, learning about nature, listening skills, risk taking, maths and science to name just a few.
